The instructor of FIFA and AFC Islom Akhmedov visited a final game of the Commonwealth Cup and gave an exclusive interview to Spartak’s website.
– First of all, we would like to express our gratitude for your presence at a tournament. Could you tell us your opinion about the Commonwealth Cup which was held in Tashkent in 2018 among teams U-14. How important are such tournaments for the country?
– Firstly, I have to thank Spartak- Tashkent for such initiative. It is, of course, great success. Irrespective of, would your team win in the final or not (the interview took place in a final break). The fact that teams arrived and as far as I notice this tournament was organized at very decent level. I think that he should have a continuation, because I see the responses of specialists, there are a lot of good reviews on social networks and whoever I communicate with, everyone is very pleased with the organization and note level of the tournament.
As for children, any departure, any meeting at this level – this of course always contributes to the growth of players in terms of gaming experience, in terms of communication. And I am glad that our neighbors almost all arrived. This is a very important moment for us. That is, only by playing, a football player will progress. And playing at the international level, it will progress 10 times faster. Therefore, I congratulate you with all my heart.
– Thank you very much. The trainers of Uzbekistan (License A) are being trained right now, and you used the opportunity to come to the final with a task for coaches.
– Yes, we talked a lot about it. And we wondered how our young coaches, especially today, they are Olim Shakirov and Sergey Arslanov. One way or another, they are involved in coaching education. It was interesting to observe what their teams showed on the field, whether they met the requirements of today’s football. We came with the whole group. Each group received assignments. Now we are watching, tomorrow we will discuss what we have seen in our classes. At least, what we saw in the first half … Of course, a good impression is left by both teams in terms of organizing the game. And, of course, we see bright individuals. This tournament we use for the benefit of coaches.
– And the last question. Is this a good indicator that two teams from Uzbekistan met in the final of the international tournament?
– Of course! This is definitely a good indicator. It proves that we have a level that the clubs and our coaches keep. This is the first tournament of this level here. I don’t remember that we have had something similar in recent years. I think that next year this tournament will bring together a stronger list of participants. Here, even our neighbors who came, I looked at the coaches, I know them all, they all learned from me, they did not come by the best teams, let’s say. I can’t say anything about Russia, because I don’t know anyone there. There will be a stronger list of participants – it means that the level will be stronger, where we can see our guys. And the fact that in the final both our teams, especially … Pakhtakor is not surprising. As it was always famous for traditions, there is always selected material in Pakhtakor. I was surprised that Spartak was in the final. Spartak is a club where guys come from the street. There is no selection. From that row material, the coach is trying to make football players and create a team. And the fact that they are in final is once again an indication that Spartak has a good future.
